This week I went to my first Bridal Shower, went to another TV Station, crossed state lines..again,
and bought a new car.  Sometimes I amaze even myself.

My Seventh Week at Home or
How I Spent my Summer Vacation, Part 1.
Next week i will be going on my SECOND summer vacation with my boyfriend!!!
It should be FABULOUS!
My mommy's niece Abby is getting
married in a few weeks - so today
my mom and I drove back to
Pittsburgh for her bridal shower.  I
had a GREAT time.  So many
people held me and called me
"cute".  I like it when people call
me cute.  It is good for my ego.
....Back to Chapter TEN
Evan said that since our moms weren't in the room and we had some alone time, maybe we should try "Third Base".  I told
him I did not know what that was, but he assured me that he did and he would show me.  He started to show me what it
was, but then I remembered my daddy's shotgun and I figured I should probably stop Evan.  I had a feeling if daddy knew
what we were doing he would have a FIT!!!  He keeps talking about "protecting my honor" and "keeping me a lady".  I hope
I made the right decision.
I told Evan that we
should probably wait a
while before he shows
me what "Third Base" is.
I was afraid he would be
upset, but he was really
cool about it and just
held my hand.  He is the
best boyfriend ever!
THIS IS MY HAPPY HAPPY FACE!!!!!!!  Not long after
we got back home to Cleveland, I overheard mommy
talking to daddy about our next vacation.  She mentioned
to daddy that we will be spending next week with Aunt
Lea & Uncle Dwight!!!!  That means I will get to see Evan
again next week!!!!  I am SO EXCITED!!!  It will be
GREAT!!!
Here I am with my cousin Abby.
Isn't she beautiful!!!  I hope I am
as beautiful as her someday.
This is Abby's best friend Carolyn.
She liked holding me too.  She was
very nice and I liked it when she
held me!
After the shower was over...my mommy took me to
ANOTHER TV station!  This one was really cool.  It
was in a really tall building and had lots of really cool
stuff and shiny buttons!  Here I am with my friend
Lori.  It was fun to see her again.  It was cool
because this time she was allowed to hold me.  The
last time I came to Pittsburgh to visit her, she had a
cold and mommy would not let her hold me!  She
bought me a fun present too - it talks to me when I
play with it!
Let me also point out the GREAT Steelers sign in the
background of the photos.  Did I mention how much
I LOVE the Steelers.
Here I am on the set of the Morning Show with my
mommy.  This picture was taken by her friend Jon
Burnett...he is one of those guys that stand in front
of a big green wall and make up stuff about the
weather is going to be like tomorrow.  But he seemed
really nice and my mommy really likes him, so I won't
hold that weather thing against him.
This is me sitting on the main set at the TV Station.
My mommy worked here for 7 years before I was born.
She liked it a lot and made TONS of friends.  It was
fun for me to see another place where my mommy
worked.  I also liked meeting some of her friends.  I
look pretty good on TV...don't I?
This is me and my friend
Lori again.  She is teaching
me how to be a TD (That is
"Technical Director" for
those of you who are not in
the know!)  In the picture
on the left I am learning to
do what they call "switch".
It was pretty fun, but kind
of hard for me to reach all
of the buttons.  In the
picture on the right my
mommy was trying to get me
to smile for the camera,
but I had to keep my eye on
the on-air monitor.  Doesn't
she realize how important it
is for a TD to watch the
on-air product.  Geesh.
Here is my Aunt Lori teaching me how to run the
audio board for the news too.  This was a LOT more
fun than being a TD...but the buttons weren't as
colorful.  I liked all of the fun noises I could make
this thing do though!!  I told my mom I would not
mind working at a TV station....but she screamed for
a REALLY long time after I told her that.  I can't
even repeat here some of the things she said...it made
my cheeks turn pink.  Wow.
Once we arrived in "Michigan" Evan was the first one out of the car and was very anxious for my mommy to
help me out.  He kept trying to get to me but my mommy said we had to wait to play until after our camp
was all set up.  It was frustrating because I just wanted to play.
Since all we could do was talk, Even & I hung out and
caught up on our news for the last few weeks since we
were last together, Mom & Aunt Lea & Aunt Lynda set
up our camp and let our puppies out to play.  We
brought five puppies on Vacation with us.  Mommy
brought my Border Collie Ginny, Aunt Lynda brought
her cool Saluki Truluck, and Aunt Lea brought 3 of her
Salukis, TJ, Foxy, & Tank.  Aunt Lea put our play-yard by
the puppies' play-yards so that the puppies could
protect us if any strangers came around to pester us.
This weird guy named Deric came 'round a few
times...but the Ginny chased him away!
I know my daddy said I had to be a good girl while mommy & I were on vacation without him, but come on...daddy
wasn't around & Mommy was so busy with Aunt Lea....they would never know if Evan & I escaped together for a
while.  I was so excited to finally get to "Second Base" with him.  I am not sure what that means, but I heard
daddy talking about it once with mommy...so it must be ok.  I do have to admit though...Evan snores a lot, so I
had to sleep with my ears covered like in the picture on the left.  So second base is a bit loud.
This is me helping my mommy get
ready to groom Ginny.  I helped her
lay out all of her supplies.
Here is another picture of my
boyfriend, Evan.  He sure is hot,
isn't he!!!  I could just watch him
bounce all day long!
On the left is me with Aunt
Amy and Aunt Dawn is there
too!!!  Aunt Dawn said she
would hold me, but Aunt Amy
said there was no way in ***
she was giving me up.  (the
stars are words I am not
allowed to say)
On the right is my with Aunt
Lynda.  She was explaining to
me why I am not allowed to
repeat those words.
Mom....would you PLEASE stop
taking my picture all of the
time....geesh.
We brought way too much food with us on
vacation, so Aunt Lea decided to invite some of
our friends to our camp for lunch.  Here is a
picture of some of our friends enjoying the
picnic.  You can see Uncle Jack, Aunt Lea, Aunt
DJ, Aunt Jaqi, Aunt Amy, Uncle Kevin, & Aunt
Becky.  We ate a bunch of food and lots of
people got to hold me and visit with me.
Here is Evan hanging out with our
Aunt Lynda.  I really liked these
pictures of him, so I thought I
would include them!
Here I am watching Best in Show at
the dog show we went to while we
were camping.  It was pretty fun and
my mom was excited because the dog
she liked won.  I think she called it a
"Harrier".  I don't know why it is
called that, it didn't have any hair
to begin with, so what is it hairier
than???
A couple people brought me
some presents when they came
to our picnic.  I don't know why
I got presents when noone else
did....must just be because I am
so damn cute.  My friends Val &
Roger gave me the really cool
Border Collie of my own.  Mom
said Ginny is not allowed to
come in my room so hopefully
she will let me keep THIS one
in my room.  The pretty pink
one on the right is from Aunt
Mary Jane...I can't WAIT to
see what is inside!
I just liked watching Best in Show
because Evan & his mommy came with
us!
Here I am with Aunt
Mary Jane. It was the
first time I got to meet
her but I knew she
would be really nice to
me because mommy talks
all of the time about
how much she loves her
and respects her.  So I
was really glad to meet
her here!
A couple of days after my mom & I returned from
our Day Trip to Pittsburgh...dad informed me
that Mom & I would be going on a road trip with
Aunt Lea and my boyfriend Evan!!!
OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!
I get to spend a whole WEEK camping with
EVAN!!  Day & night...night & day!
My mom took this picture of us in the car on the
way to our Vacation in Michigan.  It had been a
really long day for me already - so I wanted to
take a nap but I was worried because I had never
been to "Michigan" before and I did not know
what it was like, so Evan said he would stay awake
and watch me sleep so he could keep me safe.  It
was nice knowing he was looking out for me.  You
never know where there might be aliens.
After mom told me we would be going home today, Evan & I went and hid away from our mommies for a while so we
could talk.  I was so sad and I just needed to be with him for a while.
Evan was sad too that we
would be leaving each
other, but he consoled me
and told me everything
would be ok and we would
see each other again soon.
When I woke up this morning mom informed me that this
was our last day on vacation and we would be going home
this afternoon.  I was really excited about seeing
daddy...but I REALLY did not want to leave my
boyfriend Evan.  I did not know when I would see him
next and now that we had done "Second Base" I did not
want to leave him.  I was really angry and I said a whole
bunch of those words I am not supposed to use to her.
But, She forgave me because she knew how sad I was.
Here is me and my mommy while we
were sleeping.  It was a long week
and mommy & I missed our beds so
mom asked me if I would like to
sleep with her so we could keep
each other company.  It was
nice...just like old times, before mom
started making me sleep in my own
room.
Daddy said now we might not be able to go on vacation
next week with Dwight & Lea because his van was not
very safe for me anymore.  I cried a LOT because I
would not get to see Evan if we did not go.  I begged
daddy to make sure we could go.  So, a couple of days
after mom & I got home from Michigan, we all loaded up
in mom's van and drove out to buy a new van for daddy.
Here is a picture of our new ride.  Phew, that was close.
I would be so devastated if I did not get to see Evan.
Evan & I tried to stay awake so we could talk on
the ride back home to Ohio, but we were both
so tired.  Evan told me it would be OK if we
took a nap because he would find a way to
come visit me as soon as possible.
I hope so...I will miss him very much.  But we
had a really good week in Michigan, I was sad to
see it end.
