| CHAPTER FIFTEEN |
| My Eleventh & Twelfth Weeks at Home or "When my world turned upside down". |
| As I am growing, mummy is keeping me very busy playing and learning...so it is getting harder and harder for me to find time to sit at the computer and "blog." So, starting with our next chapter, I will probably only post a new page every month instead of every week. But please keep checking back and reading about my new adventures. |
| Today we went to a birthday party for my Cousin Jessie and my Grandma Carol. It was fun 'cause I was able to play with my cousins. They like playing with me any time we are together. I also had fun because there was birthday cake. Anywhere there is cake there is icing! |
| Today, mum informed me I was going to eat "real food." Well then, what the heck have I been eating all this time if it wasn't real!!? So anyway, she got this weird, shiny thing out of the drawer and she tried to poke me in the face with it. I opened my mouth to yell at her to be careful with that thing and next thing I know she shoves it in my mouth! Ugh!! What about germs!!! But...wait a minute...it tastes pretty good. Mummy says it is something called "bananas." Bananas are good. |
| Yup. Here I am...in a bar. Mummy took me to a bar for lunch. Actually, we were meeting my Uncle Lee...mummy's best friend from work. He got a new job in Washington, DC and mummy was meeting up with him to say goodbye. We had a really good time meeting with him, but it was really sad when mummy had to say goodbye and they both cried. I don't like watching mummy cry. I like Uncle Lee a lot so I hope we will get to see him again someday. |
| It is Saturday and Daddy took mummy to an arts festival to cheer her up. She said she is really sad too when she has to leave me to go to work. I don't like it when she leaves but she explained to me that she has to go in order for us to afford to live in our nice house and so I can go to a good school. I still don't like it when she leaves me, but I will try to cry less for daddy. After we were done walking around the arts festival we came to this restaurant for lunch before we had to take mummy to work. |
| After mummy went to work for 5 days in a row, she announced to me that today was her day-off and that meant that she would be spending the next two days with me!!! YAY!!! I like "days off." So this day we spent swimming in Aunt Linda's pool next door. It was fun and I had a really good time relaxing on the pool foaty. Mummy told me it was a little too chilly for me to wear my bikini. |
| Today Grandma Betsy and Granpy Brian came to visit again. I had a great time hanging out with Granpy...but I got angry when mummy took me away from him. I like it when they visit and I don't like it when they say goodbye! |
| Mummy was trying to get some cleaning and some laundry done today while she was home and I was being VERY clingy because I did not want her to leave me again. She begged me to take a nap, but I did not want to because every time I take my afternoon nap she wakes me up to go to work, so even though she told me she was staying home I was afraid to go to sleep. So she put me in my swing and let me watch a little TV. She had NEVER let me watch TV before, so I know she must have been desperate. She put in something called Baby Einstein...but I did not like it very much. It was kind of boring. I would much rather watch JAG. |

| Today mummy and daddy took me for a walk at Holden again. It was warm and relaxing for mummy and I had a really good time. Daddy did take some pictures of me by some very pretty flowers...but I was not so much in the mood to cooperate...so the pics aren't that nice...sorry. |
| Um.....yeah. While we were walking at Holden i was startled to see my favorite toy frog had mutated into Gigantico the Man Frog. It was very disturbing. I was afraid to take my eyes off of him in case he tried to make a move on me. I wasn't too sure daddy could take him if it came to that! |
| I am learning to have fun with daddy in the evenings when mummy is at work. He likes to take lots of pictures of me on his phone and he sends them to mummy at work to cheer her up when she misses me. This is one of her favorite photos that daddy sent her. |
| One of the presents I received while on vacation in Kentucky was this play mat with the kitty and butterflies on it! I love to lay on it and Kick the Kitty. Every time I kick it is plays music. I LOVE playing "Kick-the-Kitty!" |
| My world turned upside down today. When I woke up from my afternoon nap mummy fed me and dressed me in a pretty outfit and we got in the car. I thought we were going somewhere fun but next thing I know we met up with daddy in the parking lot where mummy used to work before I was born. I was not sure what we were doing there but then all of a sudden mummy started crying and handed me to daddy and she LEFT ME. I was sure she would come right back out to me, but she didn't. Daddy put me in his truck and we drove back home without mummy. I was very sad and I cried a LOT that night. I love my daddy very much...but I did not understand why my mummy left me. |
| This is the next day and mummy did it again. I don't understand why she keeps leaving me after my nap. I wonder if I am being a bad girl. |
| I am really learning a lot about my fingers this week. They are really fascinating things!! They can do all sorts of tricks, and they are always there when I need them. Cool. |
