My Second Week at Home
Phew...two weeks down - lots more to go!!!  Let's see what happens next week!!!!
I have been in my new home for a
week now and it is kind of a fun
place.  My mom & dad have lots
of friends and some of them
have sent these beautiful
flowers to our home.  The ones
on the left are from my mom's
friends at Channel 5, where she
works.  She especially loves the
big pink Gerba Daisies in the
front....other than roses &
orchids - those are her favorite
flowers!!  The picture on the
right has a vase of pink
carnations that daddy brought
home and a basket of flowers
from dad & mom's friends at the
Grand River Kennel Club.  They
all smell really pretty.
....Back to Chapter SIX
My third week at home
These two pictures are from my first trip out of the house!  Mom
& Dad took me for a hike at this place called the Holden
Arboretum.  It was really beautiful and warm.  I probably would
have liked it more, except I loved my new stroller so much I spent
most of the hike sleeping peacefully.  So...I just had to take mom
& dad's word for it how much fun I had and how beautiful
everything was.  I did wake up long enough though to have my
picture taken with mom & dad in this really special spot.  I
overheard dad telling the man who took our picture that this
exact spot is where mom & dad were standing when they got
married.  They said this is a really amazing place for them.  I am
glad I got to have my picture with them here!
Here is a picture from my second trip out of the house!  Mom & Dad
took me to the Geauga Maple Festival.  It was really cool to look at
all of the lights and fun stuff.  Mom & Dad were particularly excited
about the "fair food".  I am not sure what that is...but it must have
been good because we went back to the festival later that night for
more "fair food" for dinner.
I really wanted to ride this cool dinosaur thingy - but dad said NO.  I
don't know what his problem was  - I was being a good girl and not
yelling or anything.  I was minding my manners...so not sure why I was
not allowed to ride.  It did look like a lot of fun.  Oh well - maybe I
will be able to convince him next year.
As it turns out - I am not really a
big fan of having my diaper changed.
Well...it really just kind of sucks.  It
makes my butt cold.  So...the whole
time mom & dad are changing me, I
like to yell at them and make faces
for them.  I am not sure why they
always laugh at me.  Don't they
understand that I am not joking.  I
keep telling them to stop, but it is
like they don't understand English -
they just keep right on going.  It is
like they have no clue what I am
saying.  I just wish they would get
the hint.
Friday was a REALLY full day.  We spent the whole morning driving all over the
world visiting some of dad's friends.  Mom said we had fun, but I don't really
remember much because I was sleeping the whole time.  IT was just so warm
and the car seat was so comfortable, I could not help myself!!  Dad said I got
to meet a bunch of his old neighbors, then we drove a really long time and had
coffee and cookies with mom & dad's friend Betty.  She was really nice and had
this cool creature that was covered with spots!!  It was really neat.  Then we
drove home really fast and my Aunt Brooke & cousin Ariana were waiting for
us at our house.  Since I spent the whole day sleeping already - I was able to
stay awake and play with them for a while.  The picture on the right is my Aunt
Brooke holding me and my cousin Ariana wishing she could hold me.  Dad says
when I get a little bit bigger she can play with me.  Below are a couple of
pictures that Aunt Brooke took of me with my mom & dad.  I am cute, huh!?
Well...if I thought getting my diaper changed sucked...those people who call themselves my parents..decided I needed
something called a "bath".  I tried telling them, in the beginning, how much it made my butt cold, but they just kept
ignoring me like they do when they change my diaper, so I just turned my head away and would not look at them until it
was over.  How humiliating.  Mom tried to kiss me and make up - but it did not help - my butt is still cold.
After I that stupid bath thing was all over - mommy dressed me up in this outfit.  It did make my butt a little warmer -
but I must say, I hope they don't make me do THAT again!  I did feel a little guilty for making my mom sad while we
were doing that bath thing - so after I was nice and warm - I made some cute faces for her because I know it makes her
laugh...and I like to hear my mom laugh...it is pretty.
The next day, after that whole stupid bath thing.  I was still a little ticked off, but my teenie-tiny brain was already
starting to forget what happened...what was I saying again?  Anyway - I was just laying in my bed, minding my own
business, when dad pulled out that big black thing that keeps making bright light flash in my face.  I don't know why he
likes doing it so much.  I just decided to go to sleep and hope he was done by the time I woke up.
While I was sleeping, our neighbor, Ken & his wife
Linda came over to our house to visit us.  They must
be really nice people because they like me and come
to visit me a lot.  I like them too - but on this visit I
was afraid to open my eyes because dad was still
making those flashes with the big black thing.  I was
not worried about sleeping through this visit because
I know I will get to spend a LOT of time with them.
They keep telling my mom & dad how much they like
me and that they would like to spend time with me so
mom & dad can go out on a date without me
sometimes.  Who knows why mom & dad would ever
want to go ANYWHERE without me...but I will humor
them so I can get to spend time with Ken &
Linda...they are fun and I like them a whole lot!!!!
Heck, maybe they will understand what I am telling
them when I talk.
