My THIRD Week at Home
Phew...three weeks down - lots more to go!!!  Let's see what happens next week!!!!
Look at me...I am such a grown-up girl...I can hold my
own bottle!!!  Isn't that cool?  My mommy keeps
telling me how amazing I am...I guess I am starting to
believe it.  It is a bit weird for me though, I really
liked eating "with my mommy", but for some reason
her boobies stopped making milk and I had to start
eating from a bottle.  Mommy & I are not really happy
about this whole bottle thing, but we are getting
used to it and I try to make her laugh when I hold
the bottle for her.
Maybe if I make her laugh
enough she will forget that her boobies are broken.
....Back to Chapter SEVEN
My fourth week at home
Here I am with my Great-Grandma Mary again.
Mommy & Daddy took me to her house this week so I
could visit her.  She loves me so much and I love
spending time with her.  It is fun for me to see how
happy she is when she holds me.  I love to look up at
her and watch her laugh when I give her my "cute
baby" face!!  She is such a fun great-grandma...I hope
mommy & daddy take me to visit her often.  I am so
glad I am named after her!
On Thursday, we all packed up in our van and drove to a place called Zelienople, where my mommy grew up.  She said it
is a little town near Pittsburgh.  I liked it a lot - it was very pretty.  We went to this place called Baldinger's.  It is a
really special candy store that my mommy has been going to since she was born.  It is located just a few yards from my
mom's old house.  My mom said this store has been here for over 100 years and that I am the 5th generation of her
family to be in this store.  She said that my Grandma AND my Great-Grandma both had their very first jobs as kids in
this store.  It is VERY special to my mom and her family, but they are going to be tearing it down in a few weeks to
build an industrial park or something on the spot.  My mom was devastated when she heard the news and really wanted
me to see the place before it was torn down...road trip!  Below is the picture mommy took of me & dad in front of some
of the candy!  They even have the same old cash register that they had a 100 years ago.  It has this big arm on it that
you have to pull down to make it work.  It was really cool.  My mom was very sad that this piece of her history will be
disappearing, but she was very grateful to get the chance to show it to me and daddy before it went away.
My Uncle Jimmy is a race car driver and he loves to build his own race cars from scratch.  He is really good at it!  When
I went to Pittsburgh with my mom & dad they took me to his garage so I could meet him and his family.  He was all dirty
from working in the garage...so I could not get my picture taken with him (maybe next time) but my daddy did take a
picture of his race car and he took my picture sitting on the back.  My Uncle Jim added all of his grand-children's
names to the back of his car for good luck and he added a balloon for me too.  Unfortunately he did not know my name
yet when he painted the car, so he just put on there "Baby Brat" because he calls my mommy "brat"...but maybe now that
he knows my real name he will change it someday.
Also, while we were visiting mommy's home we met her friend Lori for lunch.  We went to this tiny little place that
makes the BEST sandwiches.  It used to be an old post office back when horses attached to carriages delivered the
mail!  Now is it a deli where you can sit outside at picnic tables and eat lunch.  My mom likes it so much and was
excited to share it with daddy and me.  We had a really good time with Miss Lori and my Aunt Kathy came and joined us
too!
I got to meet SO MANY new people on my trip.  The picture on the left is me with my Aunt Kathy.  I actually got to
meet her last week - but daddy forgot to take a picture!  So here I am hanging out with her at the Deli while we had
lunch.
Then, after we were all done having lunch...we drove up to the top of the hill so I could meet my mommy's friend
Mrs. Smith.  She is the mother of my mommy's very best friend growing up.  I have not met my mom's BFF Dan yet, but his
mom was very nice and she loved holding me...so he must be ok.  I can't wait to meet him someday.
Here I am with my Aunt
Valerie on the Left.  I was a
little cranky when I met her
because it was the end of
the day and I was getting
very tired.  But I still loved
to meet her anyway and I
can't wait to see her again
when I am in a better mood!
The picture on the right is
me with my Aunt Debbie.
She was the first new person
I got to meet on my trip, so I
was still sleeping from the
car ride.  But I woke up to
talk with her a little later in
the day!!  I am sure I will get
to see her again soon.
Here I am at my first "Charity Function" as my mom called it.  We all went to a spaghetti dinner at our church.  It was
fun and all of the money raised went to benefit a Women's Shelter that my Grandma Carol works at.  My grandma was
there and my Aunt Brooke and my Cousin Ariana and her BFF Colleen.  We had a really good time (even though I slept
most of the time again.)  I heard everyone say the food was really good and I got to meet our Pastor Mark...even
though I don't really remember meeting him.  I did overhear dad talking to him about something for me called a
"Christening".  I am not sure what that is - so I will have to do some investigating and find out!
The last thing we did while we were visiting my mom's hometown was to visit my Grandma & Grandpa.  My mommy
explained to me that her mom & dad went to heaven 7 years ago.  So she took me to this place where there are
memorials for them.  My mom is very sad that I will not get to meet my grandma & grandpa...but she said she is sure they
would have adored me.  Mom was sad when we visited this place...so I just sat beside her on the ground and tried to
tell her how much I loved her.  I hope she could hear me.
Since we all spent so much time in
the car yesterday...mom declared
(quite loudly) that there was no
way she was getting in the car again
for a few days...so since the
weather was so nice, she decided it
was time for us to re-paint the
garage door and the front porch of
our house.  I offered to help, but
dad said no, so I boycotted the
whole operation by sleeping on the
porch all day.  I am sure they would
have been done much faster if they
would have let me help...but mom
did seem to have fun playing in the
paint all day.  So who am I to stand
in the way of her fun.
OK...so here I was...minding my own business...and mom says something to dad about introducing me to "the boys".  It
did not sound all that bad at first.  I thought maybe "the boys" would be some more cute guys like my boyfriend Evan,
so I was really psyched...until these CREATURES ran in and stuck these wet things in my face.  Yikes.  I kept yelling at
mom that we were being invaded!!!!  These aliens from another planet are right in my living room and mom did not seem
to care one bit!!!  I was sure these things were here to suck out my brains!  What is WRONG with her!!!!
